Now, with buywith’s “Want Button”, shoppers can add products to their cart and checkout – directly from the live shopping event!
Want Button: How Does it Work
Say hello to our latest feature at buywith: The Want Button. Now, shoppers can add products to their cart and immediately checkout, or keep them bookmarked for later, all while enjoying the live shopping event.
The single feature has two purposes; firstly shoppers can add products they see to their cart for buying immediately, or keep ‘bookmarked’ for shopping later as they continue to watch the live shopping event. Secondly, it informs the host of what’s trending and is driving most ‘wants’, so they can adjust the livestream accordingly.
How does the Want Button work during a live shopping event?
When using the Want Button, users see an intuitive interface that pops up during the live event whenever the host showcases a product, as buywith platform triggers a “Want Button” that appears on the screen.
Note that when in “Full Screen” mode the Want Button will appear on the left hand side, so it would not cover the face of the host.
It can then be used in these ways as a compelling Call-to-Action.
- Shopping during the event: Products displayed by the host will feature an easily identifiable Want Button. Shoppers can click on it to add the product to their Want List, accessible at any time. They are prompts with a message asking if they would like to check out immediately, or save it for later.
- Checking out vs. saving it for later: If they decide to checkout, they will be redirected to the checkout page immediately, while buywith will minimize the live event window to make sure they can still listen while completing their purchase. If they decide to bookmark it for later, they will have the item waiting for them in their cart after the event, and the brand will be able to follow up to make sure the purchase is completed.
After the event, the shopper’s cart is already populated, so they can checkout after making any color or size adjustments, without any extra steps. Easy!
As a bonus, when someone clicks the Want Button, an array of smaller versions of the button floats inside the session for all viewers to see. It’s anonymous but encourages others to buy owing to popularity. It also encourages others to complete the purchase before the item is sold out. FOMO at its best!

- Streamlined Purchasing Process: This feature lets viewers add items to their cart without disrupting the live stream, making the shopping process smoother and quicker.
- Adaptability in the Shopping Cart: Shoppers can easily modify sizes or colors while adding products to their carts, speeding up the conversion process.
